I enjoy lots of different habitats and the variety of plants and animals that live in them. The foothills of the Sierra Nevada in California are the habitat I call “home.” Living halfway between the mountains and the ocean means that I could take a morning walk through the golden aspens above Lake Tahoe in the morning (I love the sunlight sparkling on the quaking leaves), and by sunset I could be sitting on a beach watching pelicans gliding above the waves of the Pacific Ocean.
